    The JPM Cavat History
With the company well on its way to the top and with his forthcoming naturalization as a US citizen, Jose P. Macadaeg Sr. (JPM), retired from the construction business in late 1995. He ceded and transferred all his rights and interests to his son Jose T. Macadaeg Jr., whereby he assumed the position, Proprietor or General Manager/ Chief Operating Officer of the said construction firm. He registered the said firm with the Department of Trade and Industry under the new name

--- The New J.P.M. CAVAT CONSTRUCTION---

for which it was issued a new contractor's license (No. 24096) by the PCAB on November 21, 1997, under Category C with classification in General Engineering and General Building. His expertise in the construction industry, dating back to 1976, includes the construction of school buildings, river banks, roads, bridges, seawall protection, and service station projects. All of his finished projects garnered him abundant praise for the high quality evident in his work.
To preserve his father's legacy and the "old" firm's good reputation is the main reason for the retention of the same business name. Although faced with a new proprietor, the company retained all its technical personnel to ensure the same high efficiency and productivity known to its clientele. Consequently in 1998, he requested for the change of business name with the PCAB from the "The New J.P.M. CAVAT CONSTRUCTION" to the old "J.P.M. CAVAT CONSTRUCTION," which was granted on 28 January 1999.
The company has also been awarded a three-year contract, from July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2001, for the maintenance of service stations in the Bicol region aside from the on-going projects of the company with Petron Corporation.
Likewise, it has been registered for government infrastructure projects under the: Small B category for Road, Highway pavement, Railways, Airport horizontal structures and Bridges; and Small B for Building and Industrial Plant classification.
For the past several years, the company has forged a strong business partnership with Petron Corporation. Most of our projects undertaken are for the said organization. With the continuous growth and progress of our firm, we are eyeing at expanding and going back into catering to private individuals/companies and government construction projects, in conjunction with the new proprietor's additional field of expertise. This is indeed relative to the company's enduring philosophy of outstanding productivity and commitment to exceptional service.
With the company’s success and scale of its operations, shifting the business from Single Proprietorship to Corporation is in the works. Hence, J3M Construction, Transportation and Equipment Rentals, Inc. was established in 6th of August 2015 with Securities and Exchange Commission Company Registration No. CS201515728 and Philippine Contractor’s Accreditation Board Contractor’s License No. 40380 first issued last 16 June 2016.
J3M Construction has retained all JPM Cavat’s technical crew, equipment, manpower, assets, finances, management, and equipment whilst it still in the process of having all its clients transfer the accreditation into the new corporation due to some technicalities.
